For the fourth straight year Coach Stokes’ team finished second in the OHC to an undefeated Mansfield Senior. They beat the State-ranked Wooster team, but the memorable game was the Akron double-header opposite the LeBron James contest. MVP Greg Emmons led the team with 318 points and 184 rebounds. Mark Hess, who spent part of the season recovering from an ACL injury, was first-team OHC with a 64.1 shooting percentage. Casey Cooke was the top free throw shooter (75.6%), and Danny Krispinsky led the team in assists (96). Cooke and Krispinsky, senior guards, were both 2nd team All-OHC and the key loses for a talented junior-laden squad.
