With seven returning lettermen the Orange and Black cagers grabbed 13-wins including victories over Cleveland JFK, CC-champ New Philly, arch-foe Mansfield, and the State’s 8th ranked team Elyria. Roosevelt Robinson, who was 1st team All-CC, led the team in scoring (351 pts), Tom Roberts led the team in rebounds (207), and Joel Smith was the best foul-shooter (73%). The point parade was: Roberts (248), Smith (231), Jim Messner (131) and Denny Humrichouser (84). Rosey passed Dave Wait with 936 points to 4th on the career-scoring list. |
