Coach Jim Schoch came from Sparta Highland with the credentials of six Sectional championships. He found his only Ashland team had just one senior and no returning lettermen. The Arrows won four games by a field goal or less. Senior Brett Lyme received the “Raised Arrow” Arrow for being a team player and playing to one’s potential. Darrell Crall was the top scorer (294 pts) and assist leader. Bruce Fagert scored 241 points and was the leading rebounder. The other cagers in the line up were: Albert McKinney (114 pts), Scott Shilling (113 pts) and the top defensive player, Chuck Ritchey (108 pts), and Lyme (97 pts).
