The Orange and Black cagers finished even in the league (6-6) and even on the regular season (9-9). They lost the Sectional opener to Sandusky, a team they had beaten earlier by one-point. It was the beginning of the February fizzle where only one team won a tournament game over the next nine years. Jack Purtell was the T-G Most Valuable Player and scored 267 points. The accuracy awards went to Rob Wilson (field goals) and Tim Keyes (free throws). They scored 205 and 170 points each. Terry Baughman had 151 points, and Howard Householder was the Most Improved.
